  • To clean wheels use a normal sponge and lighty remove any brake dust that remained – DO NOT use the same sponge and bucket that you are using for the rest of the car.
  • Rinse throughly removing all soap

what about using the local car wash?

It is important to avoid using any mechanical car washes, even the “touchless” centres as they are very abrasive and will void the warranty.

If using a DIY centre do no use the soaps, degreasers or any other chemicals offered, as they are very abrasive and will damage your vehicle over time. Do not at any stage use the brush as they scratch and damage your vehicle. It is safe to use the high pressure spray.

Avoid using carpark washing centres. Although they are carried out by staff, they usually do not practice safe washing. Meaning that the same sponge and chamois used on the last vehicle will be used on yours, effectively meaning that the previous vehicle’s dirt is being rubbed on your vehicle.

Failing to adhere to the above may void your warranty.

my service centre washes my car after a service

If you use a third party service centre please avoid the complimentary wash. More often than not they use cheap chemicals and cheap abrasive sponges tat will damage your vehicle and void your warranty.

On the inside door seal you will notice a Royal “Do Not Wash” sticker, please bring this to your service centres attention when dropping your vehicle off to be serviced. It is also advised to not have them clean your interior except for a vacuum.

We recommend using your 3-Point dealership for your service requirements.
